Cookies & Privacy
Last reviewed: 16 October 2026
This notice explains how The Everyday Cache uses browser storage and handles personal information in connection with this website. It describes the website implementation reviewed on 16 October 2026.
Who to contact
The website is operated by Floyd Wilkes, trading as The Everyday Cache (a UK sole trader). For privacy enquiries, contact info@theeverydaycache.co.uk.
Saved gifts and browser storage
When you use the save/heart feature, the website stores your shortlist locally in your browser under cache-shortlist. It is not sent to us by that feature and remains until you clear your browser's storage. The privacy notice acknowledgement is stored locally under cache-privacy-notice for approximately 180 days.
Analytics, storage and referral tracking
As checked on 16 October 2026, Cloudflare Web Analytics is disabled for the Cloudflare Pages project hosting our website. The website code reviewed on that date does not load our own on-site analytics pixel or advertising-tracking script. This does not rule out Cloudflare processing technical request and security data to provide hosting and protection, or third-party retailers using their own technologies after you follow an external link. We do use local browser storage for the saved-gifts and privacy-notice features described above. When you follow an eBay affiliate link, the outgoing URL includes an eBay Partner Network campaign identifier and a product or collection reference to help eBay attribute referrals. These are referral parameters; they do not identify you to us by name. Once you reach eBay, its own privacy and cookie notices apply. We will update this notice if our tracking or hosting arrangements change.
Shopping and affiliate links
Product shopping links marked “Ad” are affiliate links. When you follow an affiliate link you are sent to an independent retailer or marketplace, such as eBay, which may process your visit, click and any purchase for affiliate attribution under its own privacy and cookie policies. We may receive a commission on qualifying purchases. We do not handle your payment details, orders or delivery; the seller or retailer does.
Messages and technical logs
If you email us, your message and address will be used to respond to your enquiry. The hosting provider may process technical information needed to operate and secure the website. We use enquiries to respond to messages and to manage related correspondence, relying on our legitimate interest in responding to visitors. We keep messages only as long as reasonably needed for that purpose or to meet legal obligations. Technical logs and their retention are subject to the hosting provider’s arrangements.
Your rights
Where applicable under UK data-protection law, you can ask to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Contact us about any enquiry.
